Farah’s trip to Georgia

One of the key reasons tourists head to the Republic of Georgia is the country’s location in the lower Caucasus mountain range. This means there is ample hiking (best in spring and fall) as well as skiing in the winter months. But beyond the mountains, which are stunning, the people of Georgia are wonderfully welcoming and hospitable. The country has only begun rapidly expanding for tourism since 2008, so it’s still a budget destination, and the internal road infrastructure is a bit rough. Backpackers can easily navigate on a budget, but there are also many cozy and beautiful high-end options for travelers looking for comfort as well as culture.
