Filmmaker, Director and Editor Omid Shabkhiz

Depending on which company, firm, or professional you hire, a filmmaker can serve many roles and do many different things. In general, the terms “filmmaker” and “film director” are basically synonymous. They are the powerhouse behind the production process, in charge of everything behind the scenes from leading and developing to making a movie production. Filmmaking is a heavy responsibility because it requires a lot of revolving pieces to line up perfectly. The filmmaker is the “eye” of the production, choosing each shot, providing entertainment, and showcasing the character’s strengths. In essence, although they don’t “do” everything, they are responsible for it all.
