Also known as Mahin Niktab’, she took the surname of Shahabi from her husband after their marriage. Shahabi began her career with radio shows in 1958. Shortly afterwards, she attended courses at the Anahita Art Center, a acting school. “Jungle Adventure” directed by Mehdi Mirsamadzadeh in 1959 was her acting debut. In 1969, she appeared in “The Cow”, a widely acclaimed film by a new wave director, Dariush Mehrjuii.
