Papa was also known for his appearances in ancient Greek tragedies. Many of her international film roles were achieved by playing Greek characters. But he starred alongside Kirk Douglas in the 1968 crime drama Brotherhood and James Cagney in the 1956 western Tribute to a Bad Man.
