The son of billionaire George Soros got married to the former aide to Hillary Clinton on June 14, 2025. While they originally intended to elope, the bride and groom ended up tying the knot in the Hamptons, per Vogue. Abedin’s union with Soros marks her second marriage. The Both/And author was previously married to former Democratic congressman Anthony Weiner, with whom she shares son Jordan. Abedin announced her separation from Weiner in August 2016 and filed for divorce in May 2017 after Weiner pled guilty to sexting with a minor that same month.
The former political aide met Soros in 2023 and got engaged less than a year later in 2024. “It’s a little bit of a surreal experience to be in a relationship with Alex,” Abedin told New York Magazine in 2025. “I had never imagined I would meet someone whose life so seamlessly blended with mine.”
