Isfahan Christian Hospital

The Queen Mother of Great Britain and Queen Elizabeth II, with her husband Prince Philip, Farah, Mohammad Reza Chancellor of Germany, and his wife (at the invitation of Dr. Foroughi, the first ophthalmologist of the Christian Hospital), visited this hospital. With the victory of the revolution, xenophobic prejudices spread among the people, and suspicion arose that anyone who interacted with the British was their spy. Some government officials also fueled this uprising. For example, Ali Asghar Behzadnia, the Deputy Minister of National Guidance and one of the figures close to Azadi and Ebrahim Yazdi, in a media interview, warned the leaders of evangelical and Anglican church associations not to interfere in political affairs, and after that, they would close Andisheh Missionary School in Tehran.
