A journalist is a professional who researches, investigates and writes articles, reports and news stories for newspapers, magazines, television and other media outlets. Journalists may work in an office setting when they are writing and out in the field when they are researching and gathering information for their stories. Journalists work closely with their editors and with other journalists when working on a group article.
