First Folio Comedies, Histories and Tragedies
William Shakespeare’s collection of plays is one of the best literary treasures of history. Of the 750 copies published seven years after Shakespeare’s death in 1623, only 228 copies remain. Microsoft’s founder Paul Allen bought one of them at an auction in 2001 for $ 6.5 million.
