The royal, who is the fourth child of Queen Noor and the late King Hussein of Jordan, holds a master’s degree in Japanese studies from Edinburgh University in Scotland, a master’s degree in Japanese literature from Columbia University in New York, and is currently studying for a Ph.D. in pre-modern Japanese literature at UCLA.
