Iconic musician Neil Young lost his Malibu home to the Woolsey Fire in 2018. He has been vocal about the role of climate change in increasing the frequency and intensity of wildfires. Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan’s Malibu home narrowly escaped total destruction during the Woolsey Fire, but parts of the property were damaged. Brosnan expressed solidarity with others affected by the fire.
