When Mary Anderson visited New York in 1903, she noticed that the driver had to open the window and clear the snow by hand. This was unpleasant and dangerous. Marie sought a solution and in 1903 she invented the wiper. Unfortunately, automobile companies did not believe Mari’s invention, and he never profited from it.
