Sometimes, public buses can be the most comfortable way to sleep for some people, but it can also be a cold and brutal experience for others. But as bad it may be, the other option of sleeping outside in bad weather isn’t exactly appealing either. These are the slim choices most homeless people living outside are presented with when shelters are either full, too expensive, or too difficult to reach by nightfall.

Sometimes driven into homelessness by poverty, eviction, or domestic instability. Runaways, foster care youth, and those aging out of social systems. Individuals who struggle with reintegration into civilian life or suffer from PTSD. Despite stereotypes, homelessness can happen to anyone and often results from a combination of structural and personal challenges. Rising housing costs, unemployment, and poverty make it difficult for people to afford stable homes.
