Philippe Halsman (1906–1979) was a Latvian-American photographer renowned for his imaginative portraits, inventive techniques, and ability to capture the personalities of famous people. Over a career spanning several decades, he photographed some of the most influential figures of the 20th century, including Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Salvador Dalí, and Alfred Hitchcock.
