Some have begun discussing a scholarship fund in her name, to support newcomers pursuing education while working — a cause close to Shilan’s own heart. “She came here with dreams, and she worked so hard for them,” said one family friend. “If we can help someone else continue their education in her memory, then her spirit will keep guiding us.”
