Upon returning to Tajikistan, she graduated from secondary school in Dushanbe and enrolled in the Institute of International and Regional Relations of Moscow in Dushanbe. She later resumed her education and graduated from the Institute of Tax and Law of Tajikistan in 2006. Tahmina married young and gave birth to her son, Muhammadjovid, early in life. After a divorce, she remarried and has since balanced her public life with motherhood and family responsibilities. She often speaks openly about the challenges Tajik women face and uses her platform to empower others.
