Soraya Ghasemi, born on December 19, 1940, in Tehran, is a distinguished actress whose career spans over five decades, reflecting the profound transformations in society and cinema before and after the 1979 Revolution. Soraya’s entry into the entertainment industry began in the 1960s as a radio host, followed by performances in theatrical productions such as “Antique” and “Andorra.” Her television debut occurred in 1973 with the series Bitter and Sweet, and she gained recognition in 1970 with the film Tranquility in the Presence of Others, directed by Nasser Taghvai.
