At age 46, Soraya returned to the silver screen with Khaneye Abri (The Cloudy House). This marked the beginning of her second act — one characterized by strong performances, resilience, and respect in the post-revolution film industry. In 2001, she received one of cinema’s highest honors — the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the Fajr Film Festival — for her performance in Maral. This not only validated her talent but also marked her as one of the few actresses to successfully bridge the pre- and post-revolution cinematic worlds.
