A Lifetime of Passion, Pride, and Perseverance

Even when injuries limited his playing time, his insight and leadership never wavered. After hanging up his boots, Roshan transformed from player to mentor. He believed that the true duty of a legend is not only to be remembered, but to pass on knowledge to those who follow. Through his football academies and coaching roles, he nurtured young talent, teaching them not only how to play, but how to think, behave, and represent their country with honor. His Football Academy, one of the earliest of its kind, became a foundation where hundreds of young players learned discipline, teamwork, and humility — values Roshan considered as important as technical skill.

Many of those students would go on to play professionally, carrying forward the philosophy of their mentor. Throughout his life, Hassan Roshan remained deeply connected to Esteghlal and Iranian football. Whether serving on the club’s technical committee or speaking on the importance of youth development, he never stopped advocating for progress and professionalism in sports. His words carried the weight of experience and the sincerity of someone who loved the game more than fame. Even decades after his retirement, Roshan’s influence could be felt in the culture of football — in the discipline of young players, the respect between rivals, and the pride fans feel when speaking of Iran’s golden generation.
