A performer is someone who performs on stage or on the screen to entertain an audience. A performer performs on stage and on screen as characters and works with the creative team to create an original piece of theatre. The stage is used as a platform to explore new ways of living and to express new visions for the future by participating in theatre productions that bring the community together. Post-war societies have a particular need for participatory theatre.
