Space travel may result in infertility of astronauts
Long-term spatial missions are thought to cause astronauts to infertility. In a test, which was simulated by the weightlessness of space, male rats stayed hanging for six weeks. As a result of this trial, their testicles were shrunk and the number of sperms dropped significantly, making them infertile. Female mice suffered the same and even worse fate.
