Medications are less effective in space
As noted above, only the immediate medical care available to the astronauts in the space is first aid. In addition, most of the available drugs are not as effective as they are on the planet. In one study, the researchers provided eight first-aid kits with 35 different drugs, including hypnotics and antibiotics.
