Immigration offices in Canada

Immigration officers work for the Office of Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS). FDNS is a department of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The USCIS operates as part of the Department of Homeland Security. An immigration officer primarily works in an office setting and assists with immigration processes, but their job may occasionally require them to travel or appear in court. However, there are many different immigration-related jobs within the Department of Homeland Security, and many people often confuse them with one another. Immigration officers most often work in office settings for federal, state or local government agencies. Their primary objectives are to facilitate the United States immigration system and identify potential threats or fraud attempts.
