This type of officer may help immigrants fill out their applications, check applications for the required information and discuss immigration options with applicants. It’s also important for these officers to review and determine if an applicant provided any inaccurate or misleading information on their documents. An immigration officer, FDNS, has an assignment to work directly with the Office of Fraud Detection and National Security. This type of officer identifies misleading or false information on asylum, citizenship or visa applications.
