Advertising took another major leap forward when it was adopted more and more by the tobacco companies in the 1920’s and the campaigns of Edward Bernays. Over the years advertising has become the force it is today, driven by significant innovation and changes of the time – radio in the 1920’s, television in the 1950’s, cable TV from the 1980’s and then of course the internet from the 1990’s.
