The Spanish royals are expected to host a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Madrid this evening to further honour Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani. Both couples appeared in good spirits despite their busy schedules. King Felipe travelled to the Middle East less than a week ago to convey his condolences to the new president of the United Arab Emirates on the death of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed al Nahyan. Following the Qatari state visit, he and Letizia have a busy week ahead including the first Hispano-Arabic Forum of Audiovisual Public Service, organised by RTVE with the aim of strengthening and establishing ties with the Arab community.
