A major part of their training is learning how to use parachuting equipment correctly. Before making actual jumps, trainees practice procedures on the ground and learn how to respond to different situations during a jump. They must understand how to exit an aircraft safely, control their descent, prepare for landing, and regroup after reaching the ground.
Mental preparation is equally important. A paratrooper may have to work in unfamiliar environments, deal with difficult weather conditions, and remain calm when circumstances change unexpectedly. Strong communication and teamwork help soldiers coordinate their actions and accomplish their assigned objectives.
