His name was written as Babak Peter Padar in his Passport, but due to a mistranslation, his name was accepted as “Babek” instead of “Babak” by the German authorities. After the military coup against H.I.M. Sultan Ahmad Kadjar in 1925, Reza Khan, a former bodyguard of H.I.M. Sultan Ahmad Kadjar, declared himself and decreed that all Iranians have to carry last names – for the first time in history. To bear the last name Kadjar was not an option after that unlawful event.
