NASA ignored one thing in designing its first space outfit. Apparently, NASA scientists had forgotten that astronauts might need urination. The same negligence led Alain Shepard, the first American in space, to soak his astronaut. This led to much debate, because NASA scientists were afraid that the urine would cut off the electrical parts of astronauts’ clothes.
