In March 2021, Lara Trump joined Fox News as a contributor. However, she parted ways with the network in December 2022 due to its policy against employing individuals involved with active political campaigns, following Donald Trump’s announcement of his 2024 presidential bid. In February 2024, Lara was endorsed by her father-in-law for the position of co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). She was elected to the role in March 2024 but resigned in December of the same year amid speculation about a potential appointment to the U.S. Senate, which did not materialize.
