She was elected but later resigned in December of the same year amid speculation about a potential Senate appointment. Lara Trump ventured into the music industry in 2023, releasing a cover of Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down, which made it to Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart. She later released original songs, including Hero in 2025.
