In her personal life, Dr. Didehvar was in a relationship with the late Prince Alireza Pahlavi, the youngest son of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, the last Shah. Together, they had a daughter named Iryana Leila, born in the United States after Prince Alireza’s passing. Dr. Didehvar’s diverse background and commitment to mental health have made her a respected figure in her field, with a focus on multicultural approaches to therapy and aiding individuals in overcoming emotional challenges worldwide.
Her clinical experience encompasses working as a mental health specialist at the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Cedars Sinai’s Thalians Mental Health Center. She has provided therapy to adolescents dealing with depression, substance abuse, and various mental disorders. Additionally, Dr. Didehvar has international experience, having volunteered in Kenya with the Kenya Voluntary Development Association (KVDA) on peace-building initiatives and later providing psychotherapy services in Bali, Indonesia.
