Deeply aware of the importance of education in nation-building, the Mostofians were early patrons of schools and literacy programs. They funded both religious and secular education initiatives an unusual duality at the time and contributed to the development of early printing presses in Tehran. The family also played a role in supporting Persian arts and literature. In their homes, prominent figures like Mohammad-Taqi Bahar (poet laureate), Ali Dashti (author and intellectual), and even young revolutionaries found a platform to speak, write, and influence public opinion.
