Tina Pakravan is a film director, writer, producer, and actress born in 1977 in Tehran. She holds a bachelor’s degree in film directing from Tehran’s Faculty of Cinema and Theater. Pakravan began her career by contributing to various film magazines and working as an assistant director on films such as “Killing Mad Dogs” by Bahram Bayzai. She furthered her studies in cinema at UCLA, where she directed short films like “Dream” and “Actor Actor.” Upon returning, she worked as a production manager and assistant director on several notable films, including Dariush Mehrjoui’s “Santuri” and Bahram Bayzai’s “When We Are All Asleep.” Pakravan made her directorial debut with the feature film “Khanoom” in 2014, followed by “It Happened at Midnight” in 2015 and “Once Upon a Time” in 2021.
