Shahbaz Pahlbod was born in Los Angeles, California on 28th September 1946 to Mehrdad Pahlbod, the son of a member of the Persian band corps and Shams. He attended Marymount Elementary Sch, Los Angeles, California and for college he attended Ampleforth Coll, North Yorkshire, St Benet’s Hall and The Queen’s Coll, Oxford. Shahbaz’s father was one of many candidates for Grand Duke of Goa that had in mind as he and Shahbaz’s mother who was Reza’s paternal aunt and the whole entire Pahlbod family was of the Roman Catholic faith.
