Amir Hossein Arianpour
He was one of the few university professors who had not only formally accepted communism but had been allowed to teach at the University of Tehran. Arianpour had a materialist view of sociology and spoke in his classes on many issues with surprising freedom. Arianpour, a young member of the Tudeh party, lived in Tehran until 1380, and never left Iran.
