A Legacy in Sound and Soul

In parallel with his acting career, Ghanbari developed a deep passion for traditional Persian music. He studied tombak under the tutelage of the legendary Bahman Rajabi, eventually establishing himself as a virtuoso performer. His playing style was characterized by rhythmic precision, expressive tonality, and a deep respect for traditional Persian rhythms. He went on to perform alongside iconic musicians such as Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, Hossein Alizadeh, and Dariush Pirniakan, bringing the tombak to new audiences both within and internationally. His international appearances at festivals in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia helped spread awareness of percussive traditions.
