A Legacy in Sound and Soul

This holistic approach to music education made him a beloved mentor. Many of his students have credited him with not only shaping their musical technique, but also helping them develop a deeper appreciation for their cultural identity. Later in life, Ghanbari became deeply involved in archival efforts. He worked to document and record lesser-known rhythms, traditional folk patterns, and rare compositions that were in danger of being lost. His home became something of an informal music archive, filled with handwritten notes, audio reels, and rare instruments.
